A message from Kathy Earle 3-5 Physical Education Teacher:
In conjunction with our nutrition focus for the month of March, I have, once again, organized a "Mystery Fruit and Vegetable" Guessing Game" in PE. Martha Poliquin is providing a different mystery fruit and vegetable each week during March for us. Students may make one guess for the fruit and one guess for the vegetable each week. Ballots/guesses are collected in the gym during PE or before school.
The students can do research to figure out the fruits and vegetables or take a trip to the grocery store with their parents.
On Friday morning of each week, the lucky (correct) guesser for the fruit and vegetable will be drawn. The "prize" is an extra activity period for his/her class to play Jedi Knight.
Something new this year... Martha is providing "tastes" of the mystery fruits and vegetables on Fridays for the students. Hot and cold lunch students will have a chance to have a taste. (Isn't Martha wonderful!)
